Nothing is better than an Uncle Scrooge book. Don't go through this one too fast, look carefully at the backgrounds.
These Don Rosa comics are all excellent classics. Great for young and old alike.

This volume, along with the next, contains the very best stories by Don Rosa. He's really found his stride.- "The Duck Who Never Was" is, quite simply, my favorite Rosa story. Donald Duck was 60 years old in 1994, and Egmont wanted Rosa to commemorate it. So he came up with this gem, a story inspired by "It's a Wonderful Life".- Next there's "The Treasury of Croesus". Scrooge is out treasure-hunting again, and what treasure more fitting to look for than that of Croesus - the ancient king who issued the first gold coins?- In "The Universal Solvent", Scrooge has had Gyro invent a solvent that dissolves everything - except for diamonds. He wants to use it to dig the deepest mines in history, to find all the diamonds left in the deep. But things does not go as planned... This is one of my two favorite Scrooge-adventure stories by Rosa.- "An Eye For Detail" is one of Rosa's relatively few ten-pagers. Scrooge suddenly realizes that Donald, able to tell his nephews apart, must have an incredible eye for detail. This hilarious ten-pager revolves around Scrooge trying to exploit this ability.- "The Lost Charts of Columbus" is a sequel to "The Golden Helmet", the Barks' classic. Gladstone's incredible luck leads him to accidentally find the helmet, and another race for North America is on. This is my least favorite story in this book - and it is still one of the very best Rosa made.- Donald has an accident with one of Gyro's old inventions, and I guess the title "The Incredible Shrinking Tightwad" says something about what happens. The second of my two favorite Scrooge-adventures by Rosa.- Lastly, there is a tale of which Rosa himself was very proud. He usually doesn't like his own stories, so that is saying something. "Hearts of the Yukon" is the first of several additional chapters to "The Life and Times of Scrooge" he would make, and also the second best of them, in my opinion (My favorite extra chapter will be featured in volume 7).Easily 5 stars. Loved by kids and adults alike.
