About the Author
A member of the faculty at the Boston College Carroll School of Management since 1968 and chair of the Business Law Department for over a decade, Professor David P. Twomey has received numerous teaching and service awards at Boston College. He has written 32 editions of his textbooks and numerous articles on labor, employment and business law topics. As Business Law Chair, he serves as a spokesperson for a strong legal and ethical component in both the undergraduate and graduate curriculum. He also has a special interest in curriculum development--serving four terms as chairman of his school's Education Policy Committee. Professor Twomey is also a nationally known labor arbitrator. In the context of impending nationwide railroad and airline strikes, his service includes appointments by Presidents Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, William J. Clinton, and George W. Bush to eight Presidential Emergency Boards, whose recommendations served as the basis for the resolution of these labor disputes. Professor Twomey is a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators. He is also a member of the Massachusetts, Florida, and federal Bars.

It is very plain for a text book, it lacks photos, graphics, etc. which I find to be a refreshing change. This book has substance rather than graphics. It is written in a way that make the info easy to read and understand and cites specific case law with case info.
Used copy. Great reference tool.
Dense and not absorbable material.
I had to have this book for a college course but it has been very helpful in my job as well. Once the class was over, I carried the book to work and it is sitting in my bookcase so I can refer to it as needed. It has lawsuits to refer to and very valuable information for anyone in the Human Resources field.
Labor and Employment Law by David Twomey was very interesting due to the many cases it provided for the class that I was taking for my graduate degree in Legal Issues in Human Resources Management.
Book was in good condition and was exactly what I needed for class.
The text was actually the wrong one for the class, nothing wrong with the actual book
This book was perfect it was slightly used, but all the highlighted texts was exactly where I needed to look to find the answers to the case study questions.
