Wonderful book with really beautiful illustrations that imaginatively helps little ones with big questions.The story may be about a family that has experienced miscarriage, but it is definitely a great read for children of all ages, whether your family has personally experienced miscarriage or not.I am amazed that a picture book can so delicately and delightfully approach such a large topic. A must have for your bookshelf, especially true for children that have already experienced a loss.

So, when I began reading this, I expected it to perhaps be a little corny. I definitely was skeptical of a children's picture book bringing hope or addressing the issue of miscarriages.But man, it was actually really well done. It was whimsical and really had a sense of wonder and hope to it. The artwork was great and really carried that imaginative whimsical-hopey atmosphere.Emotional, lovely, really well done.

What a blessing this book is for so many people who have babies in heaven! Such a real discussion of the pain, joy, faith, trust and family dynamic for anyone who has experienced a loss or knows someone who has. This book is for everyone! Especially in a day where the life of unborn isn’t always rejoiced or celebrated. Read this book to understand Gods creation and purpose for every unborn baby even those he calls home before birth.

I love how the focus is on the hope of Jesus and the joy of heaven. I also appreciated that the author didn't say the baby was an angel, but made a very clear distinction between the people in heaven and the angels.

The first time I read this book I cried. Leah does an amazing job capturing the sadness of loss, a child's imagination and carefree joy, and the wonderful promise of eternal life in heaven that we have through Christ. Just looking at the incredible pictures leaves me with an even greater hunger for the day that we get to see Jesus face to face. This is a wonderful book for anyone experiencing any kind of loss, so far I have given it to two friends, one on the anniversary of her baby daughter going to heaven and the other who just experienced a miscarriage, and both were very blessed by it. Thank you!

Great review book

This is the second volume of the best EKG book for Emergency Medicine training. The EKGs get progressively more difficult and just have a small tagline "50yo female with chest pain" etc. Then you look up the answer in the back. In the back the EKGs are read formally "Normal sinus rhythm, left axis deviation, prolonged QT, left anterior fascicular block and ST-elevation in the inferior leads consistent with transmural ischemia"...something like that. Then it gives an explaination of the main finding for example in this case it might go on to tell you about inferior STEMI. I learn quite a lot from these explanations and they seem to build on each other as you go.

Good book, good price.

The book did not bring as much practical information as I had hoped for.

This is an excellent book- There are several attributes that make this book ideal for the EM physician who is learning EKG's:1.) Cases are quick and short, so if you only have 10-15 min you can get valuable info during that time.2.) It starts easy and gets harder which is ideal.3.) You see multiple variations of the same thing with thorough explanations each time.I went through the 1st section with about 30 min 3x a week in one month and felt more comfortable reading EKG's than some of my senior colleagues.

This is a great book with very illustrative case examples that help hone keg skills. Sadly the format is a pain. The book itself is a pain with the answers in a different section from the ecgs. This makes it difficult to look at the discussion from one without accidentally seeing the diagnosis for the next. What is a difficult format in print is made worse on the kindle with its cumbersome navigating.

This book is excellent to have while doing your residency and will come in handy for the board preparation as well.

This book is great for an adult learner. Not the most basic but the first few chapters I made flash cards for to practice all the introduction words. I also purchased the workbook ISBN-13: 978-0130360014 ISBN-10: 0130360015 for extra practice. There are free online resources too, you don't have to buy a new book to access them either. For a $10 or less book this has quite a bit of information in it, and is fun enough to keep be entertained while I study.

James, A Biblical Commentary by Joyce Meyer is one of the nicest Biblical commentaries that I have used as a layperson.This commentary on James is especially user friendly. In the introduction, Meyer tells about James--when it was written and some of the history behind this book and the man who wrote it. Joyce then goes on to break the book of James down into chapters and expound on each one. She also includes space to ask yourself questions and to reflect on what you have read.Meyer's commentary on James is both beautiful on the outside and practical on the inside. The Biblical book of James is one of my favorites. I like her key reminder that we must have faith in God first and then we will do the good works that glorify Him. And that is the key, God is to get the glory and we are reminded that we don't and we need to have the faith to reflect Him to others. I truly appreciate Meyer's hard work to make this book so easy to understand and practical to use for the reader. I also like that there is space in the book to make notes and to remember my thoughts as I am reflecting on the book of James and her commentary. I highly recommend Meyer's commentary to anyone wishing to study the Bible in more depth.I received this book from the publisher. I was not required to write a positive review.

Meyer's teaching is deeply rooted in the Word and it is no surprise that she would write Bible commentaries. This book is a good general devotional commentary on James. It is good for general audiences as it does not go into Greek. Meyer at times comments on one verse while at other times covers up to twelve verses in her writing. There is usually a personal reflection question at the end of each section with space for journaling although some sections do not have it.There are some areas of her teaching I particularly like. One is her teaching on contentment (on James 4:1-3). “I have discovered that the secret of being content is to ask God for what I want and to rest in the knowledge that if it is right, He will bring it to pass at the right time.” That really precludes the greed and selfishness James wrote about.Another area of her strong teaching is on the tongue and our words. This is an important area for Meyer and she really emphasizes the effect our words can have on others. We are to use our words to prove our faith and trust in God. She also has a good section on what it means to keep God first in our lives. A good way to do that is to have a continual conversation with Him, she says.This commentary would be good for new Christians or ones not very familiar with the Bible. Meyer writes about the truth of James in a very understandable way. She does not explore puzzling or complex issues, such as how turning a sinner from his way will save his soul from death (James 5:19-20). Readers will gain encouragement and inspiration from the book of James as Meyer explains the practical teaching contained in it.I received a complimentary egalley of this book from the publisher. Time and time again I have have seen places advertise that they are offering a classical education and they are not! Classical Education is a method, not a curriculum and it is explained very well here. It has helped me order in my mind how to explain to someone what is is that I am doing with my children if they are interested, because it can be hard to explain! (I homeschool with Classical Conversations). The information will help someone understand the method and it's superiority to anything that has been taught in the last 100 years. It is a short read and one well worth investigating.
